Consumer Units

Replacing/updating Consumer Units is something we regularly do for clients.

The consumer unit is the centre, or heart, of the wiring system in the home. They are designed to switch off a circuit if there is a fault.  Plus, the main switch in the consumer unit allows you to turn off the supply to your electrical installation.

When upgrading a Consumer Unit we always carry out an Electrical Installation Condition Test and Report on the existing Electrical Installation at the property.

Here are some photos of before and after Consumer Units / Consumer Unit Cupboards that we have upgraded.

Underfloor Heating

For this Underfloor Heating project we installed electric underfloor heating wire in the Customer’s Hallway and Living Room.  Both controlled by seperate Thermostats.

The flooring was then finished with engineered Oak Flooring.

This customer is now ready for a toasty Winter.

New Kitchen Electrics

For this new Kitchen project we installed new Sockets and Switches along with Undercupboard Lights.

We connected in the new Induction Hob and Oven.

We also upgraded the Consumer Unit and carried out an Electrical Installation Condition Test and Report at the property.

Bathroom Lighting

Bathroom lighting can fulfil a variety of functions from the practical lighting so you can see your face clearly for making up, shaving and washing to mood lighting for a relaxing Bath or Shower to unwind.

This can be easy to create with so many lighting options available:

  • Recessed ceiling lighting which can be dimmable
  • Niche / Alcove Lighting
  • Floor Lighting
  • Mirror Cabinets with Lighting

When designing a Bathroom you need to take care when choosing the lighting for your Bathroom as there are strict regulations regarding the types of lights you can use.  You can get advice on this from your qualified electrician.
